    Carleton, Jan. 4--Elisha Driggett, aged 71 years, who was seriously burned Wednesday night when a kerosene lamp near his bed at his home in Flat Rock upset and ignited the bedclothes, died last night in Wyandotte General Hospital. The body was brought to the Baker funeral home in Carleton this morning.
    Mr. Driggett was born September 30, 1864, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He lived in and near Flat Rock during the last 66 years.
    He is survived by a son, Edward, of Carleton; two daughters, Mrs. May Kiphart of Wyandotte and Mrs. Dora O'Neil of Detroit; a brother, William, of Charlevoix; and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Hale of Milan and Mrs. Edgar Wilson of Ypsilanti.
    Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

    Carleton, Jan. 6--Funeral services for Elisha Driggett, who died Friday night in the Wyandotte General Hospital from burns, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of a son Edward in Carleton. The Rev. W. Crothers officiated and burial took place in Bunte cemetery at Flat Rock. The body was taken yesterday from the Baker funeral home to the son's home. Mr. Driggert died of burns he received Wednesday when a kerosene lamp ignited the bedclothing in his home at Flat Rock.

    Elisha Driggett, aged 71 years, who was seriously burned Wednesday morning when a kerosene lamp near his bed at his home in Flat Rock upset and ignited the bed clothers, severely burning him from the waist to the top of his head, died at 12:05 Saturday morning, January 4th, 1936, in the Wyandotte General hospital. The body was brought to the Baker Funeral Home here and then was taken Sunday noon to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Driggett and Mr. and Mrs. George W. Reeves, East Monroe avenue.
    The funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. W. Crothers of the Evangelical church, officiatng. The interment was made in the Bunte cemetery, Huron River Drive, near Flat Rock.
    Out of town friends attending the funeral were Wm. Hanser, Mr. and Mrs. Vete Dryer, Mrs. Walter Long and daughter Harriett and son Clifford, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Hansor, Mrs. Walter Knox, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hansor of Milan; Mrs. John Wilson, Mrs. Dan Brand, Mrs. Wm. Wilson, Mrs. Wm. Corde of Ypsilanti; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rale and Mrs. Charles Cornwell and daughter of Wayne and several from Detroit and Flat Rock.
    Elisha Driggett, son of David and Hestor Driggett, was born September 30, 1865, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He has lived in the vicinity of Flat Rock and New Boston for the past 66 years.
    He leaves to mourn his loss one son, Edward of Carleton and two daughters, Mrs. Dora O'Neil of Detroit and Mrs. Mae Kephart of Wyandotte, and three grandchildren; one brother William of Charlevoix, and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Hale of Milan and Mrs. Esther Wilson of Ypsilanti.
