  Eugene David Durham
    Eugene David Durham, 69, 2036 Beverly Court, died Monday at University Hospital, Indianapolis, after an extended illness.
    He was born in May 31, 1918, in Madison county. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years as a chief petty officer and was a World War II veteran.
    He was formerly employed at Delco Remy. He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, 40&8, Eagles Lodge and Knights of Columbus.
    Survivors include his wife, Theresa (Grossguth); four sons, David Durham, Lowell, Texas, Bob Durham, New Berlin, Texas, Don Durham of El Paso, Texas and Rick Durham of Indianapolis; three sisters, Dorothy Durham of Elwood, Betty Quade of Portage and Helen Zimmerman of Alexandria; a brother, Harold Durham, Anderson; and eight grandchildren.
    Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Copher and Fesler Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rev. Kenneth T. Raczek officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elwood.
    Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
