JAMES MALKOWSKI
  James Michael "Mr. Jim" Malkowski, 73, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Riverside Regional Medical Center.
  Born on Dec. 17, 1928, in Trenton, N.J., he had been a Peninsula resident for the past 20 years. Mr. Jim has been a bus driver for the Newport News School System since 1990. He was also a tractor-trailer driver for 35 years and a dump truck driver for 10 years.
  Survivors include his wife and companion for 28 years, Jane Malkowski; five daughters, Dolores, Debra, Michele, Yvonne and Tara; one sister, Mildred Godown of Trenton. N.J.; one cousin, Rose Lombardo of Trenton, N.J.; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Glen Douglas and friends at 7 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Weymouth Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the Weymouth Funeral Home.
  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Yates Elementary School, Playground Fund, 73 Maxwell Lane, Newport News, VA 23606.
