  Mary Mae Durham
    Mary Mae Durham, 82, Tipton, died Saturday, March 10, 1984 at Tipton County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. She was born in Howard County March 23, 1901 to Dan and Otie Dean Summers.
    She was first married to Don Smyser in 1924. She later married Jay Durham, who died in 1972. Mr. Smyser died in 1983.
    A son, Billy J. Smyser, Kokomo, survives, along with eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son preceded her in death.
    She was a member of the West Street Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary, American War Mothers, National Federation of Grandmothers Clubs and the Moose Lodge.
    The Rev. Richard Hull will conduct final rites Tuesday at 2 p.m., at the Porter Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Simpson Cemetery. Friends may call this evening at the funeral home.
