Elmer Webb Passes Away In California
Gardena, Calif.–A former Elwood resident, Elmer T. Webb, 88, who had made his home in Gardena since August
of this year, passed away Saturday at the Harbor General hospital in Terrance, Calif.
Webb was born in Indiana on Oct. 28, 1873. He was a trader and dealer in the livestock business in the
Elwood area for 50 years.
Survivors include a foster daughter, Martha Penges of Gardena, one grandchild, three great grandchildren
and a niece.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the McMillan Funeral chapel in Gardena. Dr. R. Murray
Jones of the Presbyterian church will officiate. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial park at Gardena.
