Result of an Injury / In Cramp's Shipyard :
Peter Beckett, of Detroit, aged 71 years, died Tuesday at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. H. R. Holmes, 210 Bingham st. Gangrene of both legs was the
cause of his death, the disease being the result of an injury received some
years ago while working in Cramp's shipyard at Philadelphia. He came to
Lansing with his wife to visit his daughter, and was taken ill here. Ten
children and his wife survive him, only one of whom, Mrs. Holmes, is a
resident of Lansing. Funeral services will be held at 210 Bingham st at 1
o'clock, local time, tomorrow, and the interment will be at Mt. Hope.
