Dr. A. Curtis / Dies At 66 / In Hospital
Dr. A. Maurice Curtis, 66, of 445 Van Houten St., died yesterday morning in the Barnert Memorial Hospital,
following an illness of several months.
Born in Chicago, Ill., June 21, 1891, he had been a practicing physician in Paterson for 41 years.
Dr. Curtis was a graduate of Howard University Medical School, where he received his medical degree, and the University
of Michigan. He was a member of the Passaic County Medical Society, the Passaic County Grand Jurors' Association,
The Passaic County Tuberculosis Society, American Lodge 333, I.B.P.O.E. of W., and many other civic and fraternal
organizations.
The Rev. William L. Griffin, Jr., rector of St. Paul Episcopal Church will officiate at services
in the church at Broadway and East Eighteenth St. on Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the family plot
in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bragg Funeral Home, 256 Graham Ave., tomorrow 7 to 10 p.m.
and Saturday and Sunday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Holland Curtis; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Neanne) Davis of Princeton;
two grandsons, Anthony C. and Charles C. Davis of Princeton; a sister, Mrs. Fleming H. (Gertrude) Norris, wife of
Dr. Fleming H. Norris, dentist of East Paterson; a brother, Dr. Merrill Curtis of Washington, D.C.,
and several aunts and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul's Episcopal Church
for Dr. A. Maurice Curtis, 66, of 445 Van Houten St., who for 41 years was a practicing physician in this city.
The Rev. William L. Griffin, Jr., rector, will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot
in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at 256 Graham Ave. tomorrow night from 7 to 10
and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
Dr. Curtis died yesterday at the Barnert Memorial Hospital. He had been ill several months.
