Arthur Dennis, 72, / Ex-City Policeman
  Arthur (Chick) Dennis, a retired 30-year veteran of the Trenton Police force, died Thursday in St. Francis Hospital at the age of 72.
  Dennis was born in Smithville and lived in the Trenton area for more than 45 years. He retired from the police force in 1958 after 30 years service during which time he was the director of the Trenton schools safety directors program.
  After his retirement, Dennis was a familiar face to school children going and coming to Franklin School on Liberty Street where Dennis spent his last 14 years as a special crossing guard.
  He was a former manager of the American Business Club baseball team of the city league; a member of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association (PBA) Trenton Local No. 11; the Scottish Rite of Trenton; Crescent Temple AAONMS, and the Ashlar Lodge No. 76.
  Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Parsons Dennis; a daughter, Mrs. Marion McCullers of Yardville; a brother, Charles S. and a sister, Mrs. Lois Ghaul, both of Burlington; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
  Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Pearson Memorial United Methodist Church in White Horse with the Rev. Richard J. Bridge officiating.
  Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
  Friends may call at the Buklad Memorial Home at 2141 South Broad Street on Sunday after 6 p.m. Masonic services will be held at 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Trenton Babe Ruth Baseball League.
