Carleton--World War II veteran Harry Edward Driggett, 76, of Carleton died Tuesday in Applewood
Nursing Center, Woodhaven.
Graveside services, to be performed by Carleton Post 4093, Veterans of Foreign Wars, are
pending. Cremation will take place under the direction of Southern Michigan Services, Livonia.
Born April 5, 1923, in Carleton, he was the son of Edward and Leona (Reeves) Driggett. He
married Erma Mae Miller in 1941 in Carleton. After her death in 1953, he married Marilyn Allen in 1954,
also in Carleton.
Mr. Driggett worked as a barber and as a bus driver for Airport Public Schools until retiring
from both in 1989.
Mr. Driggett was a member of the Carleton Post 4093, VFW, the Michigan Bowlers Association,
the Michigan Umpires Association and the Michigan Bus Drivers Association.
He is survived by five daughters, Shirley Owens of Flat Rock, Sally Heinzerling and Susan
Driggett, both of Newport, Sharlene Miller of Monroe and Sharon Kaufman of Carleton; a son, Scott of
Carleton; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Services have been set for Harry Edward Driggett, 76, of Carleton, who died Tuesday.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township.
