  HELEN K. BUCHAN
    TRAVERSE CITY — Helen K. Buchan, 69, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2008, at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center in Kalkaska. She was born on Oct. 17, 1939, in Kalkaska, the daughter of the late Russell and Vera (Underhill) Driggett.
    Helen was employed at Sam's Club in customer service for the past several years.
    She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Acme.
    Helen loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very loving woman and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
    Surviving Helen are her children, Gary Lee (Sandy) Buchan Jr. and Mari Kae Buchan, both of Traverse City, Corey Lynn (Meagan Szasz) Buchan of California and Cindy (Jeff) Giles of Taylor, S.C.; her grandchildren, Kelly, Teresa, Jennifer, Matthew, Darin and Mitchell; her great-grandchildren, Kyla, Sierra and Micah; and her siblings, Dianna (Kelly) Seeley of Kalkaska, Jackie (Robert) Hulett of Traverse City, Chuck (Teresa) Driggett and Mona (Steve) Saunders, both of Rapid City.
    Helen was preceded in death by her siblings, Russell Driggett, George Driggett and Betty Perrin.
    A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Hall Post 35, 1231 Hastings, Traverse City, MI 49686 on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, from 1 until 7 p.m.
    Memorials may be made on behalf of Helen, payable to Gary Buchan, 106 S. Cherry Street, Kalkaska, MI 49646.
