Virgil W. Durham
Virgil W. "Bull" Durham, 68, Fortville, died early Friday morning in the Hancock Memorial Hospital,
Greenfield.
Born Aug. 31, 1912, near Windfall, Mr. Durham was the son of William and Inez Brittenham Durham.
Mr. Durham was a letter carrier for the U. S. Postal Service, retiring in 1974 after 23 years service.
He was a member of the Ingalls Church of God in Fortville, a volunteer fireman for 43 years, a member
of the Modern Woodmans of America, the American Legion and V.F.W. in Fortville. He was a veteran of WWII.
Surviving is his wife, the former Malinda Eden; three step-daughters, Mrs. Shirley Wade of Ingalls,
Mrs. Charlotte Forth of Pendleton, and Mrs. Malinda Immel of Noblesville; one sister, Mrs. Betty Ledbetter of
Greenfield; 10 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Ronald Seals Funeral Home in Fortville
with the Rev. Woodrow Alley officiating.
Military graveside services will be conducted in the Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
