William S. Durham
William S. Durham, 75, of 719 West Virginia avenue died at 2 o'clock Friday morning at the St. Joseph hospital
of a complication of diseases. He had been a patient at the hospital four days.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at East Union church and burial will be in Bethesda
cemetery in Tipton county. The Rev. Burris Butler will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Hill. Friends may call at the
Ellers mortuary after 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Durham, a retired farmer, moved to Kokomo from Tipton county three years ago. Survivors are the widow,
Mary A., and six children, James Durham of Detroit, Mich., Nathaniel Durham, Mrs. Lincoln Boyer and Mrs. Edward Nichel of
Sheridan, Stanford Durham of Tipton and Mrs. Ray McKinney of Kirklin.

W. S. Durham, County Farmer, Dies at Kokomo
W. S. Durham, prominent retired Tipton county farmer, died at 2 o'clock this morning at the St. Joseph
hospital in Kokomo. He was 75 years old.
Mr. Durham had been in ill health for some time and had undergone two operations recently.
He was born near Normanda in 1869 but most of his life resided on a farm about five miles southwest of
Tipton. For the past three or four years, however, he had lived in Kokomo.
Funeral services will be held at the East Union Christian church at 2 o'clock Sunday and burial will follow
in the Bethseda cemetery. Until time for the services, the body will remain at the Ellers funeral home in Kokomo.
Survivors are the widow, Mollie; three sons, Santford Durham of near Tipton, James Durham of Detroit,
Mich., and Nathaniel Durham of Sheridan; three daughters, Mrs. Lincoln Boyer and Mrs. Ed Michael, both of Sheridan, and
Mrs. Ray McKinney of Kirklin. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
