Windfall Man Killed in Car Crash Saturday
Tipton, May 8-- Donald Hugh Fisher, 26, of Windfall, was killed instantly at 4:15 p.m. Saturday when the car
he was driving left the road and struck a large tree almost dead center.
The accident happened on a country road three miles east, half mile north and fourth of a mile east of Tipton.
According to a witness to the mishap, Fisher was driving his car east on the road at a high rate of speed.
The crash victim evidently lost control of the car and it crossed the road, went through a ditch and traveled 100 feet
before hitting the tree.
The witness, Samuel Hoover, said he saw the car going at a high rate of speed and then cross the ditch and
hit the tree on the property line of Herman Koors.
Investigating officers, Sheriff Jess Owens and State Trooper Marshall McCann, said that Fisher died instantly
with a broken neck. The automobile was a total loss.
The body was taken to Pritchard funeral home in Windfall and funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock
this afternoon. Burial was made in Brookside cemetery.
Survivors include the widow, Marjorie; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fisher of Windfall; a sister, Mrs.
Everett Hill, Windfall; and a brother Bert of Elwood.
