Ray V. McKinney
Ray V. McKinney, 74, Kirklin, died in Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis late Wednesday evening.
Born in Clinton County on Jan. 25, 1902, he was the son of Omer and Effie Puckett McKinney.
In June of 1930 he married Aldena Durham, who survives.
Mr. McKinney was active in the Republican Party, serving as a delegate to the Indiana State Convention
several times. He traveled to the national convention in San Francisco in 1956.
He was employed by the Indiana State Highway Commission during the Handley administration.
He was a member of the Hills Baptist Church, Pickard Lodge No. 690 and the Frankfort Elks Club.
Surviving with his wife are: a daughter, Mrs. Robert C. (Jenni Marg) Trittin of Indianapolis; a brother,
Ralph McKinney of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Tounsley of Martland, Fla., Mrs. Harold Mott of Tipton
and Mrs. Thomas Evans of Boulder City, Nev.; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Kercheval Funeral Home at Sheridan. Rev.
Walter Scott will officiate and burial will be in Hills Cemetery near Pickard.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
