Charged with assaulting his wife, Robert Munson, of Gloucester City, was held in bail yesterday
by Justice Baldwin.

A forty-foot telegraph pole fell on the stable and pavilion of William Munson, at 209 Jersey avenue,
crushing the building like an eggshell. Munson narrowly escaped being crushed to death. Robert Munson, his
father, received a fractured ankle. Jacob Stetser and Madame Sebastian, who were passing at the moment the pole
fell, escaped by a few inches.
