Doris McPherson
Doris May (Ogden) McPherson, of the Ogden section of Boothwyn, Pa., died Oct. 25, 2005,
at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, where she lived for the past year. She was 85.
Doris was born and raised in Chester, Pa., and had lived in Oak Orchard for 25 years.
She had been a bus driver for the Chichester School District for 11 years, retiring in 1977.
She previously worked for Food Fair as a dairy manager. She was a member of the West End Boat Club
and the Women's International Bowling Congress. In her youth, she enjoyed roller skating, bowling and boating.
Doris was predeceased by her parents, Lewis A. and Martha Johnston Ogden;
her husband of 48 years, Jesse McPherson; a son, Jesse McPherson Jr.;
and two brothers, Robert L. Ogden and Lewis A. Ogden Jr.
Survivors include two daughters, Edith Orlando, of Chester, Pa.,
and Debra A. Frantz and her husband Harold, of the Ogden section of Boothwyn, Pa.;
four sisters, Ralmia Mosher, of Carneys Point, N.J., Louis Gladhill, of Pennsville, N.J., Marion Russo, of Exton, Pa.,
and Martha Rollison, of Townsend; four granddaughters, Beverly McDermont, of Linwood, Pa., Donna McPherson, of Claymont,
and Christina M. and Lori L. Frantz, both who cared for her; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were held Oct. 28 at the Pagano Funeral Home, Bethel Township, Pa.
Interment was in Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, Pa.
