"WILLIAM PICKEREM was born in Delaware, in 1835, came to Michigan in 1857,
and has liven in Sumpter since 1863. He married Mary A. Miller, of Delaware,
in 1853. They have had 11 children, only four of whom are living, Mary, John,
Albert and Frank. His family are members of the Wesleyan Church. His wife
died Oct 24, 1885. His farm consists of 40 acres."
