Carleton--Mrs. Leona Driggett, 78, of 1436 Carleton-South Rockwood Rd. here, who was a charter
member of the Carleton VFW auxiliary, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday in Mercy Hospital Unit, Monroe, where she
had been three weeks. She had been ill for the past three years.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday in the Baker Funeral Home where services will be at
11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Howard Montgomery of the Carleton United Methodist Church will officiate, and
burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock.
She was born in Carleton Feb. 22, 1899, the daughter of George and Sarah (Cole) Reeves. She
married Edward Driggett in Highland Park Dec. 1, 1920. He died Feb. 24, 1962.
Mrs. Driggett was a member of the Carleton United Methodist Church and of its Mary Martha
Circle. She also was a member of Rebekah Lodge 400, IOOF, of Flat Rock.
She is survived by a son, Harry of Carleton; a brother, Wayde Reeves of Carleton; five
granddaughters; a grandson, and four great-granddaughters.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and
a sister.

Carleton--Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Driggett, 78, of 1436 Carleton-South Rockwood Rd.,
who died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital Unit, Monroe, were Saturday in the Baker Funeral Home. The Rev.
Howard Montgomery of the Carleton United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Michigan
Memorial Park Cemetery, Flat Rock.
Bearers were Daniel Heinzerling, Scott Driggett, Duane Miller, Harold Brietenbecker, Dale
Leonard and Claude Southworth.
