Leonard Shaw Is Killed In Action
Pvt. Leonard Shaw, age 32, R. F. D. 1, Markleville, a former Delco-Remy employe, previously reported missing
in Germany on Dec. 5, was killed in action on that date, according to a War Department message received by his wife, Mrs.
Dorothy Shaw.
Pvt. Shaw, a resident of south of here for many years, was employed in Delco-Remy Division, Plant 10, before
he entered the Army in April, 1944. He went overseas in September, last year, and had been in the Ninth Army.
Surviving Pvt. Shaw are the wife and three children, George, age ten; Betty, eight, and Bonnie, six; his
mother, Mrs. Ella Shaw, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Bowman and Mrs. Nellie Stephenson, English, Ind., and another sister,
Mrs. Eunice Jenkins, Madson.
