Carl G. Schaum, 77
ROEBLING – Carl G. Schaum, 77, of 127 Sixth Avenue, a former Florence Township committeeman, died Saturday in St. Francis
Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Trenton, he was a Roebling resident for the past 55 years. He was retired from John A. Roebling and Sons (C.F. and I.). He
had worked for the company for 50 years.
He was a member of United Steel Workers Union Local 2110.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine E. Parsons; four sons, Carl of Barnegat Light, Robert of Burlington, George of Roebling, William
of Willingboro; one daughter, Mrs. Adelma Boytos of Roebling; one sister, Mrs. James Davis of Trenton; one brother, Frank of Trenton, and 13
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Koschek Funeral Home, Hornburger Avenue, with the Rev. Harold R. Gietz
of the Advent Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
